The Fifty Fathoms immediately stood out for its practical features designed specifically for divers. Among its most recognizable features are the wide, luminous hour-markers and hands, which contrast with the black dial and unidirectional rotating bezel, and its steel case with a soft-iron inner layer, which protects the movement from magnetic fields.
The unidirectional rotating case front bezel of the inverted ratchet construction is fitted with a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal bezel. To further enhance the visibility of the dial in all environments, its markers, graduated hour-markers and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova.
The date is arranged between 4 and 5 o'clock, while the other recognizable DNA is retained.
The dial features the collection's iconic white and orange hygrometer above 6 o'clock, a design that watch enthusiasts often refer to as the Little Sun, a small disk at 6 o'clock on the dial that turns from white to red if moisture seeps into the watch, serving as a warning.
The watch comes with a NATO military strap that guarantees its performance as diving equipment and is comfortable to wear without feeling heavy.
