"New Watches' Tourbillon RICHARD MILLE RM 88 Tourbillon Automatic Smiley
RICHARD MILLE's newest creation, the RM 88 Tourbillon Automatic Smiley, features a skeletonized dial with game-inspired elements such as Smiley, the sun, rainbows, flamingos, pineapples and more, and even the hour markers are cut into secondary gemstones. The classic barrel-shaped case of the RM 88 is crafted in flawless ATZ ceramic with a rose gold middle case and a smiley face adorning the crown top. The titanium inner bezel, treated with black PVD, is set with sapphires and diamonds as hour-markers.
The yellow gold "smiley face" is the most striking element of the entire dial, with a diameter of 12.1 mm, a "rainbow" bridge that subtly passes behind the smiley face, and a small, even more brightly colored gold "rainbow" bridge at 5 o'clock. At the center of the dial are skeletonized hour and minute hands.
The edges of the skeletonized dial are adorned with miniature gold sculptures in the style of the game - you can see flowers, cocktail glasses, rainbows, clouds, flamingos, cacti, pineapples, and the sun - and each of these gold sculpture elements weighs less than 1 gram and is meticulously polished and finished by hand. The tourbillon is hidden behind the clouds at 6 o'clock, and the small seconds hand is embellished with a lightning bolt and a sun at each end, for a playful detail.
