The 41-millimetre case diameter is considered the golden ratio within the Datejust range. The case combines 904L stainless steel with 18 ct Everose gold—the warm, soft tones of the rose gold bezel create a sophisticated colour contrast with the cool lustre of the Oyster steel case. Eternal Rose Gold is a rose gold alloy exclusive to Rolex; it contains platinum, ensuring that the colour remains vibrant and does not fade over time, whilst emitting a warm yet understated metallic lustre when caught in the light.The deep grey sunburst dial forms the visual centrepiece of the watch. This deep, understated colour scheme exhibits subtle variations under different lighting conditions—taking on a silvery-grey hue in sunlight, whilst emitting a warm, deep grey sheen under warm lighting. The sunburst finish creates delicate layers of light and shadow radiating outwards from the centre of the dial, with each groove reflecting a gradient of light. At the 3 o’clock position sits the classic instant-jump date window, fitted with an anti-reflective, domed magnifying lens that enlarges the date by 2.5 times. The hands and geometric hour markers are coated with Chromalight luminescent material, ensuring clear readability even in low-light conditions.

The watch is powered by a re-engineered Calibre 3235 self-winding movement—the culmination of Rolex’s automatic movement technology in recent years. The patented Chronergy escapement, crafted from a nickel-phosphorus alloy, is highly efficient, energy-saving and offers excellent anti-magnetic properties; paired with a blue Parachrom hairspring, it remains unaffected by magnetic fields and is ten times more shock-resistant than a traditional hairspring. With a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, it has more than enough energy to last comfortably through the entire weekend.
